Single Status

SINGLE STATUS- I wrote this poem below in about two minutes. Free form writing that I know a lot of you can identify with. The second photo is me 4 weeks ago.  Exactly one month ago, I sat at a wedding with myself as my date.  I had fun.  I ate cupcakes (a lot of them), lay sideways in my king size hotel bed and I drank tequila. I looked at the full moon and sat on the beach alone. I was all that I needed.  Until I attract what my soul desires, my single status will remain and I’ll only be counting on myself to make me smile.  I hope this poem inspires others to have their own backs.  Be proud when you say “yes, I’m STILL single”. It means you will not settle!  You know your value and what you need.I look forward to beginning production on my next short film which is also titled “Single Status”. A modern day SATC with the added pressure of wanting to change your online status.

So guys, when asking a lady “why are you still single” - just recognize the strength in her holding true to her values...in not settling. The strength to not give into loneliness and seek a fling but to rather sit alone.
Such value in knowing what you deserve and being patient enough to wait for it!
