When you want to either cry or punch a wall…steps to get happy again

I write this to help anyone going through an extremely tough and trying time.
I write this to help myself move through the emotions.
They say the Universe puts challenges in your path so you can have empathy and later help others going through difficult times.

Today is one of those days.

I wrote in my diary just a moment ago, I either want to cry in a ball or punch a wall.
Instead I will just go for a walk and visualize my future life. A life where I am not feeling like my heart is being ripped out of me.

A reminder to myself to put myself in a happier place. A better energy. A more positive mindset.

My brain keeps saying “BLOW MY LIFE UP”. 

To get in a new space so I can have a new mindset.
To remove myself from the daily triggers and reminders of what used to be and what is no longer.
To give my brain a new visual perspective.

I think it is important to really tap into your surroundings. If you are in an environment (home/apartment) that triggers responses out of you that are not in a good and high vibration to remove yourself from that environment.

I like to think of it like a cocoon. To emerge in a new space as a beautiful new butterfly instead of being a caterpillar stuck crawling on the ground.
To go through a beautiful metamorphosis.  

On a daily basis, I am helping others to sell their homes. I hear them say that they have to clean out their homes. I watch how stressed out they become knowing they may need to sell or throw away items. I watch them take deep breaths at knowing they need to leave a home they have been in for years where they had kids grow up.

Today, I can see the “overwhelmingness” involved in that as well. I want to move out of my home of the last ten-years. I want to get away.

So to anyone also going through a tough emotional time where you want to cry in a ball or punch a wall try these instead:
  • Go for a walk, get in nature.
    Listen to an Activation - there is a great free one HERE that I have been doing for the last 3 weeks.
  • Journal your thoughts - it is like a brain dump
  • Express Gratitude - being in a positive mindset will encourage more positive into your life
  • Breathe - when we hold onto grief, our posture shrinks and we take shorter breaths. This all affects the heart chakra.
    Cry - crying is great to get the emotions out. Keeping them held in only makes it worse. It is trapped energy.
  • Visualize what you want. Ask the Universe for that. Only put positive thoughts out there. My specific trick is to say
    ”Wouldn’t it be nice if….” aloud.
  • Yoga - there are great relaxation ones on YouTube that are free. My favorite one is HERE
  • Reiki/Energy Healer - help yourself move out that trapped energy. Blocked chakras and negative or black energy will not serve your best and highest vibrating self.
I would like to send anyone reading this a giant virtual hug who is also going through a hard time emotionally.  I see you. I feel you. 
It is hard.
But after the rain comes the rainbow.
Happiness is a choice, so choose happy.
I am taking my own advice today too.
